Smithsonian/Trump/Impeachment

Smithsonian/Trump/Impeachment

In America our President has initiated a new form of history.  He often does this in speeches and in talks from the Oval Office.  But this transaction with the Smithsonian Institute seems small and somewhat humorous.  The institute modified a presidential display which included the entire history of Presidential Impeachments.  Trump had two impeachments from his actions in his first term in office.  Two is a record in American history and Trump would like not to hold that record, which he terms a hoax.  The two impeachments were issued by a Democratic majority in The House of Representatives.  When the indictments were sent to the Senate for trial, he was found not guilty of both impeachments.  The Smithsonian has removed the history of impeachments after 2008 (Trump’s impeachments).  History is ruled from the Oval Office.

We no longer have a functioning democracy in America.  Our representatives primarily vote straight party line (a “rubber stamp”).  They do not vote their wisdom or their conscience.  Political parties have outlived their usefulness.  In the second Senate Impeachment Trial, the Republican Senate voted not to hear testimony or see evidence in documents.  That sounds crazy if not for the fact that their votes were determined before the “trial”.  Most of the testimony in the first impeachment trial was given by Republicans, but not considered by the Republican majority.  Democrats would do the same, as illustrated in the Clinton impeachment trial.  This political folly is also a part of our legislation.  When Mitch McConnell was the majority leader of the Senate, he had over three hundred bills passed by a Democratic House of Representatives that he did not introduce to the Senate for discussion or a vote.  We had legislation by death on McConnell’s desk.  A Democratic Senator or a Republican Congressman that you elected had damn little influence on your government.  And now our President writes our history.

If an organization as strong and well established as The Smithsonian Institute cannot stand up for truth who can?  Certainly not your news corporations.  The reason why not is in their names.  After all, they are corporations.  Income is their guide.  Truth will not come from a crystal ball on the internet, it is too one sided.  You can trust your eyes and ears, but that gives you a very small radius of truth.  Your mind is not reliable unless the data that enters it is. And has it ever been the case?

Son of God

My mother was a married Jewish virgin and my father was The Lord of Israel.  Do you have faith in what I have just written?  You have no reason not to believe me …right.  After all, you are reading revelation not hearsay written from a story told a hundred years before.  And you Jews, stop laughing, you have your stories of Passover, Noah’s Ark and the first woman from the first man’s rib.  The point here is that there may be valid reasons to doubt religious tales and most of us do.

We are seeing the fact that this belief in biblical “history” is generally doubted.  I am yet to see news of any group attempting to pray Putin out of Ukraine.  I think that most folks don’t believe that God actually injects Himself into human affairs.  They like to believe He does, but I don’t think they are being honest with themselves.  It is more effective to send anti-aircraft missiles to the Ukrainians than sending them God.  My nephew, a very intelligent man and an avid sports enthusiast, has told me that if he has a problem too large to handle, he turns it over to Jesus.  It is a good thing that he didn’t choose a career in the military, but then it is a good thing that I didn’t either.

We patriots do hand our moral rudder over to the steering of our political leaders.  I understand that 2/3 of the Russian people believe that Putin has a just cause in Ukraine.  I would guess that 2/3 of Americans believed that we had a just cause in Iraq.  “United We Stand.”  Folks (you delusional 2/3),  Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11 and had no weapons of mass destruction.  Sorry Dick Cheney.  There was no legitimate reason to bomb the crap out of that nation and then install a puppet government.  Do you see any relationship between President Bush’s actions and President Putin’s present efforts?  I see little difference other than it was our military then and it is Putin’s military now.

Surfside Condo

I have a hypothesis for what caused the collapse of the building recently in Surfside, Florida.  The Surfside, FL Condo Collapse Was Caused by The Builder Using Beach Sand To Make The Concrete Used To Construct The Building.  See what you think.

1.      It was not a failure in architecture or engineering because it stood through 40 years of hurricanes and gale force winds.  Then fell on a quiet night.  It rotted from within.

2.      Most concrete buildings are located near the water, because 80% of our population lives near water, in large cities.  Most of the water is salt water.  Think of cities like Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Miami and San Diego.  All have salt breezes.

3.      Many of the concrete buildings, by the sea, are well over 100 years old and yet they do not collapse.

4.      Many bridges are built of concrete and stand in salt water.  They do not crumble in forty years, nor do the nearby buildings.

5.      It is cheaper to gather local beach sand than purchase salt-free, commercial inland sand to mix with the cement.

6.      The Surfside condo rubble isn’t composed primarily of large slabs of concrete.  It is small clumps, indicating decomposition.

7.      Before my wife and I moved to Oregon it was investigated and determined that a recently built bridge on Highway 1, near Florence, collapsed because the contractor that built it used beach sand to make the concrete for the bridge.  Beach sand plus cement creates a soon to be crumbling concrete.

8.      A probable NSA investigation, which will likely be somewhat influenced by corporate America, will probably determine that the probable cause was salt air destroying this 40 year old building.  After all, we would like to believe that a large construction company would not use beach sand in constructing a concrete commercial building, even if it saved them hundreds of thousands of dollars.  And who knows what other structures this company used this practice in building?
